From Oklahoma and engineering to the operating room
Dr. Raju was born in India and moved to Oklahoma at a young age. He studied electrical engineering at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, then found dentistry in California while assisting at volunteer clinics in San Diego.
Since 2014 he has practiced across San Antonio and Austin, Olmos Park Oral Surgery, LoneStar Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Parkside Dental Specialty, Rose Dental Group and Leander Dental Care, before opening South Austin Oral Surgery in 2023.
He attends continuing education regularly in oral surgery, facial cosmetics, medicine, pain management and sedation.

As an MD-trained provider with extensive medical and anesthesia training, he pairs clinical depth with a warm, reassuring manner. He personally explains the treatment, walks through pre- and post-operative instructions, and answers every question before you move forward.
Each patient’s medical history, overall health and treatment needs are reviewed carefully to decide whether sedation is the right option.
